Baby gecko is thirsty!

Kolby Fehlberg-BurnsComment

I use a paper towel under my glass of water to collect the condensation.  The other night a baby gecko decided that was a good way to get a cool drink.

I have a couple of them that come every evening to help me with my embroidery. Actually I think they come for the little gnats that hover around my task lamp.

Saturday Afternoon and a flight of beer

Kolby Fehlberg-BurnsComment

Yesterday, "A" and her boyfriend, Ernie, included me in their trip to The Maui Brewing Company. We went on a tour of the brewery and then were treated to a flight of beers. Maui Brewing Company is working on becoming 100% off the grid with their solar panels on the roof, they source their cans from Oahu and are such big supporters of Maui.

They did a special edition beer that supports the sharks research efforts which "E" is a team member of.

We had a great afternoon. After the tour we enjoyed our beers on the lanai.

Why is it called a "flight of beers" you ask?  A flight means a grouping of similar objects like a flight of stairs or a flight of geese. Now you know.

Thanks for listening.

Little Birds

Kolby Fehlberg-BurnsComment

I sprained my wrist in November and wasn't able to do much in the way of working pliers, wire and little beads. So I took advantage of that and started making little birds.

Little Birds Cropped.jpg

I had purchased this pattern awhile ago because i just liked the little guys. The pattern is from Ann Wood and you too can get the pattern here.

She also makes these wonderful owls.

So I have been making a bunch of these little birds and giving them away to family and friends. I haven't stopped making them even though my wrist has healed!  Just a few more!

So What side of your car is the gas tank on?

Kolby Fehlberg-BurnsComment

We have been having this conversation around our house lately. So how do you tell, you ask?

Look at your dash,  See the little fuel tank. Is there a little arrow?

That's the side. Magic, right?  Okay, if you don't have an arrow look for the side that has the hose on it.  That should be the side.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.
May your new year be as easy peasy as finding your fuel tank.

Thanks for listening.
